I lived in Nicosia (capital city of Mediterranean’s island Cyprus) for few months in 2017. The last divided capital in Europe.
During my stay, and my wondering around the city, I started noticing a lot of abandoned objects and buildings. The thing that struck me the most was that those spots are almost downtown, not in the suburbs as one could think.
To testify that, I’ve developed this photo story that tries to tell how a beautiful city like Nicosia could maintain her dignity even when badly maintained.
